As in previous years, our Christmas card shows the combination of winter beauty and scientific content. We are happy to present new materials, carbon nanotubes and crystalline diffraction patterns in a winter Christmas composition:
The mountain on our illustration is made of Cr4PtGa17. We are currently investigating its structure-property relationships.
The driving snow in the sky on our scene is actually an image of carbon nanotubes filled with copper in the raterelectron microscope.
The fir trees show various crystalline diffraction patterns as seen in the scanning electron microscope.
